Married Henry Cobb (bachelor, carpenter aged 23) June 29 1865 at Holy Trinity,Tulse Hill; Mary Ann's age given as 24 (but prob 26 -- see census above). ELIZABETH (b1844-1845) No baptism/birth certif details found. Born Lambeth. With parents in 1851, census. Appears twice in 1861 census: in parents' census described as "house servant out of house" but also "visitor" at 100 East Street (Joseph Wybrow, beer retailer & family). Seems likely to be her because of close address proximity. ALSO her brother William Sale [Jr] – see above – married Maria Elizabeth Wybrow, Joseph's daughter, in 1862. Ostensibly Elizabeth married to Edward Hays (cabman) by  time of 1871 census when age given as 24 but was actually 27 (see also Rosina below) but can find no evidence of marriage.

EMMA (b 1848-). Lambeth 1848, Oct, Nov, Dec 4, 246 In 1851 (aged 2) and 1861 census (aged 18, should be 12) in census with parents. Married Frederick Thomas Jones (stoker) on Dec 4 1869 in St Mary's Princes Road, Lambeth. Address 68 New Street, Lambeth. Father described as "William Sale (deceased)", which is incorrect but may be indicative of his apparent disappearance from family after wife's death in 1868. His profession: "artist". Can't find Emma in 1871 census. Child called Frederick Thomas Jones born Jan-Feb-Mar 1869 (Lambeth 1d, 378) Husband seems to have died Oct-Nov-Dec 1871 aged c. 31 (London, City, 1c, 21). Emma seems to have remarried, to George A Barnes (see ROSINA below). Can't find ref to marriage certificate.

CATHERINE (b 1851) Apr-May-Jun 1851 Lambeth, 4, 311. 1861 census, with parents. Then 1871 census, aged 20, general servant living with sister Elizabeth Hays (see ELIZABETH and ROSINA). On July 31 1876 marries Charles Thomas Twitchin at Christ Church, St Marylebone. Charles is a decorator. Living at Hardington St. In 1881 census (Charles listed as house painter, aged 41) wrongly listed as "Twitcham", living at 104 Cambridge Road, Willesden -- four children. In 1891 still in Willesden -- eight children (properly listed as Twitchin).
